The Purple Plains is a fairytale kingdom set in The World of Aurora.  It is ruled by several chief monarchs. The title of Chief is not hereditary, but a new chief is chosen by tribal elders. No elders or family members of the former chief can be chosen.

Primary natural resources are hunting and animal husbandry.

The people are medium built, with tanned skin, brown eyes and black hair.

The Purple Plains have no cities, as the people are nomadic and follow their herds and the seasons. There are gathering grounds which serve as markets and educational trading. Elders move between tribes as shamans and wise ones, teaching astronomy and natural sciences. It is an honor to become an apprentice.

It is a secondary location of the story Hidden.
